This
is a very simple, story-type book that really makes you think
about the way you are running your business. One of his key
principles is to help you realize that you need to release
certain jobs in order to allow you more time to build and
grow your business. If you keep every thing to yourself,
you’ve simply created your own job! I reread this book periodically
just to keep a good perspective of how a business should run.

detailed book on the different levels of investing, and how
to raise your conscious level to begin investing smartly. This
is not a book to read once and put away. It is a book that
you should continually pick up and read a few pages and put
them into action. |

If
you’ve ever thought about incorporating, check this book out
first. It is full of information on how and why you should
go about incorporating. I have incorporated two companies,
and have found this book useful both times. Whether you are
having a lawyer do the work, or you’re taking on the challenge
yourself, it is a great resource for information. |

This
is a very simple and easy to read book that offers the idea
of how to make your business stand out from the crowd, without
spending a ton of money doing so. Customers are often the
best way to increase your profit – make them happy and they
will tell their friends! |
|
|
This
is my favorite book! I purchased this book when my daughter
was 2 off of a recommendation. I share it with my daughter
regularly – when she pulls it off of the shelf she says, “This
is Mom’s favorite book!” The message is loud and clear, and
can be taken to heart by a 3-year-old or a 95-year-old. |
|
|
I
am enthralled with the Rich Dad series. This is really the
first in the series that brings up very interesting theories,
and directions in which people are heading on their road to
financial freedom. Education begins with what we teach our
children. This book will raise your awareness to how to raise
financially literate children – and improve your own life in
the process!

|
If
you have ever had to speak in front of an audience, this may
be a book for you. It is full of interviews from some of the
best and well-known speakers of our time, and provides tips,

speaking. It makes you realize you are not alone when you get
butterflies in your stomach before a presentation! |
|
|
What
is the key to success? Read this book to find out! I was amazed
as I read this book for the first time, as Napoleon Hill wrote
it in the 1930’s, and yet the same principles still apply today
(and will continue to do so)! This is a very motivational book,
and one that should be read at least once a year. |
|
|
This
is a wonderful little book that allows you to read 3-5 pages
a week, and put into action steps that will truly change your
life. It is a wonderful gift for friends that are traveling
down a similar path as yours. I reread the steps over and over
again, and even try to incorporate them into a level my child
can understand. |

of the 20th century, and focuses on how to put those principals
into use in your daily life. This book provides easy to use tools

will provide you with tools to help in growing fast and growing
smart! |

Good
To Great by Jim Collins
I was fascinated by this book for 2 reasons. First, it's been on the
bestseller list for many weeks now, and I always try and read every book
that makes the bestseller list - there must be a reason it's there! Second,
the title of the first chapter intrigued me. "Good Is The Enemy
Of Great." I have thought about this statement for a long time.
Good is the enemy of great. The author begins the chapter by stating
we don't have great schools because they're good. We don't have a great
government because it's good. And we have many good businesses, but only
very few great ones. Why is that? Is it because when a company becomes
good at what it does, it begins to exist? Take a look at your business.
When you are good at what you do, it's easy to bring in the business
you need to pay the bills, and live the lifestyle you choose to live.
But what can you do to push yourself to the next level to become the
best in your field? Do you have that desire? Good to Great!

Procrastinating and Get More Done In Less Time", and that's
exactly what you get out it. It's full of wonderful tips and strategies

I
love parables! This easy to read book can be read in under an

Startup.com
I've actually included a movie instead of a book this week. This movie
really captured my attention, and was a fascinating look at the dot
com world! It's a documentary that looks at building a company from
scratch, and includes a look at getting venture capital. I found
this documentary to be very well put together, and focuses on a lot
of interesting things that occur while building a company. Even if
you have no intentional of getting VC financing, or building up to
120 employees within a few months, it's a very interesting film that
shows how perseverance and a dream can turn into reality!

A
wonderful book that shows you how to concentrate on your strengths,
set goals, and focus on them. Written by the authors who created
Chicken Soup of the Soul series, we can all learn more from
these two men who have created a multi-million dollar enterprise
out of something as simple as other peoples stories. Review
and implement the 10 focusing strategies, and begin to build
a better you! |

Continuing
with short and easy-to-read storylines, Who Moved My Cheese is
another of my favorite books. I have read this book over and over
again, and take away new messages every time. My 8-year-old daughter
loves this book as well! If you are looking for a simple book
to motivate you to change your life for the better, this is the
book! I love the characters, and have seen myself in each of them
at one point or another.

Don't

your life. Each are simple strategies that you can put into place very
easily, and yet by working your way through the book, you can cause a

Whale
Done! By Ken Blanchard, Thad Lacinak, Chuck Tompkins, & Jim
Ballard
I
love Ken Blanchard! He is a great writer that can write a
quick, one-hour storyline that makes a huge impact! Whale
Done is a parable that provides you with great information
that's easy to understand and put into action!
Whale
Done is about building relationships. The book is centered
on how relationships are built between trainers and the Killer
Whales at SeaWorld. It's an interesting look at who is the
trainer, and who is being trained, and what you can learn
from those relationships. After all, relationships are the
core of our existence. If we can learn more about how to get
the most from our relationships, it will improve our lives
tenfold.

Coming
Up For Air by Beth Sawi
In
my advisory group, one of our reoccurring topics is balance. Balance
seems to be the hardest thing for any entrepreneur to grasp, as
there is always so much to do! Sound familiar? I know it's something
I'm working on continuously.
One of the things that attracted me to this book was the subtitle - "How
to Build a Balanced Life in a Workaholic World". And one of the
key phrases that I took to heart from this book was "Life is not
the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with
it is what makes the difference."
In the past, I have consistently looked at my life in future tense. I
need to accomplish these 10 more tasks. I have these goals left to do.
My inbox is full. My new goal is to focus instead on the present, and
what I've accomplished today that will put me one step closer towards
my master goal. I wrote a chapter of my book. I created a brochure for
my new product. And you know what? It feels good to lie in bed at night
and look at what I've accomplished, rather than what's left to do.

It
Pays To Talk by Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz and Charles R. Schwab
This is a great book on how to talk about money and investing within
your own family. My daughter turned 8 this week, and we are making
important decisions on allowances - how much and what should be done
to earn it. This book is full of wonderful advice on how to bring up
the conversations of money, and make the whole issue of family financing
not so unfamiliar!

The
Pursuit of WOW! by Tom Peters
This wonderful guide to life is filled with words, tips and tools that
will help you down the road to success! The book is an easy read, or
try it in tape format while you take a walk! My favorite tip? Change
is easy! Simply declare that today's the day you will make a change in
your actions! It's maintaining that change every day of your life that's
the hard part. You must take it one day at a time. Make a commitment
to carrying change throughout your life. Create systems that will bring
you forward one day at a time.
