writing skills do you have?
I
have been writing for years. I have created award winning marketing

have a small business-marketing column in the Denver Business Journal.
I am an author, currently working on my second book, Studio Without
Walls, to be published in 2005 by VoxClarus Press.
What
background experience do you have?
I
have a M.S. in Financial Management, and a B.S. in Real Estate Management.
I
have worked in a variety of industries. I began in the banking industry,
working in many sections, including mortgage lending. I spent several
years in the Department of Defense, working in the accounting office
and with the Inspector General’s office. From there, I have operated
several of my own businesses, and have handled all aspects of owning
a controlling a company.
Writing
comes naturally for me. I have handled writing copy for many different
organizations, and have written for all levels of business management.
The important thing about writing copy is to make it readable for your
audience. If copy is written incorrectly, it won’t have the desired
impact, and will ultimately decrease your sales.
Writing
is what I do for a living. It is how I earn my money. Because I operate
my own companies, I wear many hats. But I rely on my writing skills
to bring in the business that I require to stay in operations. I’ve
learned how to write for many different industries, and how to sell
products or services within those industries.
How
do I know you can write for my industry?
If
you sell a product or service to a business or a consumer, chances are
I’ve written something similar. Industries use different ways
of describing their products or services, but when you’re selling
to a potential customer, you need to be thinking sales. Too often, a
business owner gets captivated by it’s own processes, and provides
too much information that is immaterial to the end user. Effective sales
copy is about getting the end user – the potential customer – to
want more information from you. That type of copy can be carried forward
from one industry to the next, adjusting for the intricacies of your
business.

I
provide a full range of copywriting services. I spend a good deal of
my time writing copy for marketing pieces, including brochures, postcard
campaigns, websites and product guides.
My
specialty is being able to write clear and concise copy directed at
a target audience.

apply it to what type of marketing products you are looking at producing,
and writing material that will motivate and persuade your potential

Throughout
your website, you talk about mentoring, teleclasses, etc. How much
of what you do is copywriting?
With
many of my coaching/mentoring sessions I combine my copywriting services
as well. When I coach people on how to get more out of their marketing
dollars, we often complete a redesign of their marketing materials.
My copywriting skills come in handy to offer my clients a complete marketing
package, and provide them with a complete way of producing a stronger
image for their company.
